TIBAL is an acronym for Together In Benarty and Lochgelly. We are a Scottish Charity established in 2003. Our Management Committee is drawn from local people who care about what happens in and to Lochgelly and Benarty and its local environs. TIBAL aims to create extra choices and chances for people in Lochgelly and Benarty. We listen to the local community and work in partnership with like minded organisations to respond to needs in a way which makes a difference to people’s lives. We are based in the Crosshill Business Centre in Unit 15. Our main focus at the moment is:- The Edge Young Person’s Project A project for young people aged 8 to 18. The aim of this project is to make things happen for young people in this area. This is done through expanding horizons, realising potential and increasing the self confidence of young people. This project was developed by TIBAL as a way of supporting our elderly and building a more cohesive community. Quote from an elderly person:- “Please don’t treat me like I’m old or soon I’ll act the part. Vacant Positions – Volunteers – in order to deliver these projects successfully we rely heavily on volunteers. At this time we are looking for new volunteers to be involved in both projects. Who can Volunteer? - You can!! Anyone can volunteer!! You can actively make a difference through volunteering and giving your time to make a difference to the lives and issues you care about and feel great!! TIBAL Management Committee Members urgently required –
As a Management Committee member your role would be to work along side other members steering the projects, contributing new ideas, making decisions about future projects and supporting staff Who can be a Management Committee Member? § Anyone who is interested and passionate about making a difference to the local community and its people.
